My Prayer

Thank You Lord

For my husband, Frog and our Little Worm.

Thank You for our home

A place of our own

Where Your peace and love rests.

Thank You for the storms

That bring us closer to You.

For Your glorious light

That shines in my heart

Replacing the darkness

And for bringing sweet sleep

Through the night.

Thank You for

Contentment and joy.

Thank You for Your strength

To stand and face life’s demands.

I have so many blessings I’m thankful for

It’s hard to put them all into words.

I’m in awe of You God.

How you turn everything around

From despair to hope

Darkness to light.

Wondering aimless to driven

By Your purpose.

So, thank You Lord for

Your Son who shed

His precious blood for Me!

He paid the way

For us to be free!

Thank You Lord

For this day and

All the blessings

You send my way!

All this I pray,

In Jesus Mighty Name!

Trusting God

1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. 4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. 5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. 6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭12‬:‭1-6‬ KJV)

It’s in our deepest battles when we forget to lean on God’s strength. When times are good it’s easy to give praise and thanks; but so difficult to keep praising and thanking God when everything seems to be crumbling around us. The more I rely on God’s strength and remain thankful for His many blessings in my life, the closer I keep God to me. God doesn’t stray from us, we leave Him to the side when we get consumed with what is happening around us. We can have peace in difficult times. We can seek God’s will in our situations and get thru our storms with new strength and increased faith. We just have to choose.

New Grace Daily

3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me. (‭Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭3‬ KJV)

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. (‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ KJV)

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ KJV)

We become so practiced in pleasing others that we forget to please God. It’s simple really, we just have to put God first. I fail daily. At some point every day I fail. I let fear creep in on me. I may laugh at things I shouldn’t or listen to things I shouldn’t. I then feel bad for falling. We cannot live the life God intends for us when we live in our own strength. It is impossible. We have to seek His guidance and repent when we fall. Like children, we can be told over and over the stove is hot but we aren’t satisfied until we touch it for ourselves and get burned.
There is new grace for us every day, every minute if we need it. We just have to ask. God’s grace and mercy doesn’t give us permission to fall back into our old ways; it covers us and gives us as many chances as we need to get it right. When it is an honest longing within our heart to seek God first above all things, to have a relationship with Him and a desire to be obedient to Him, He knows and will help us, not condemn us.
