I have seen darkness and
I’ve seen great pain.
I have hated.
I have longed for and
Begged God for death.
An end
A sweet escape from
Abandonment and abuse.
No longer could I carry
The heaviness and hurt.
Broken.
Bowing my head, I cried out.
Surrender
A glorious light flooded my sight.
Beautiful.
Filled with love
From God’s touch.
My eyes truly open
For the first time ever.
Life.
The end of pain.
The death I had longed for,
Wasnt the ending of my precious life
But a new beginning with Christ!
