Search My Heart

Week 8

Building A Relationship With God
“I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Think about the Lord searching your heart. He is the only one, aside from ourselves, who truly knows our heart. This is a pretty scary thing; but also a beautiful thing.
Think about all the changes you’ve made the past few weeks. Have you been led by your heart or by your head and flesh?
It is so important to keep our heart in check. The closer we get to God, the more we are led by Him and not, in our minds, what we think we should do. The Lord searches our hearts and gives to us according to the fruit of our work.
We can do good deeds all day long. We can keep our cool and not lash out against those who hurt us. We can do great things; but they must come from a heart of love and obedience toward God, otherwise they are empty works.
Have a blessed week in Christ!

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Merry-Go-Round

Here I stand at the threshold Of God’s plan.

It’s up to me to choose.

A merry-go-round

Of circumstance.
Will I pass the test this time?

Or will I let the

Centrifugal force of life

Keep me bound?
The choice is mine.

God’s still small voice

Or the unseen forces

That the world trusts?
